Reserving DePaul University Lincoln Park Facilities

The Office of Community and Government Relations (CGR) will facilitate the reservation and rental of DePaul Lincoln Park Campus facilities by Lincoln Park community and not-for-profit organizations. Requests for private party or business reservations will be directed to Auxiliary Services/Student Centers Operations. Priority is given to student organizations and academic departments in reserving university facilities.

Event Management
Event management will be coordinated between the Office of Community and Government Relations (CGR) and the appropriate facility manager. CGR is the initial contact and will facilitate choosing and reserving an appropriate space; the facility manager will assist with setting up the details of the event. Requests for reservations should be initiated at least four weeks prior to the date of the event.

Any special costs for set-up, clean-up and/or equipment will be charged to the party responsible for the event. If the presence of extraordinary university staff (e.g. security, food service staff, etc.) is required, their services will be charged as well.

If no DePaul or food service staff are present, a university contact will be designated to deal with questions or emergencies arising during the event.

Catering
The university's food-service provider is the authorized caterer for events.

Only DePaul staff or food service employees may access the kitchen areas; access to kitchen areas is not permitted at all to external parties. Kitchen areas will be locked during events unless prior arrangements for food service staffing are made.

Requests to purchase and serve alcoholic beverages will be coordinated with the food service provider at the Lincoln Park Campus. Please note that the university's food service provider holds the only liquor license for campus, and that a city liquor license is required for the sale of alcoholic beverages.

For specific policies governing catering, please call the CGR office.

Risk Management
For larger events, a certificate of insurance for the event must be presented by the user to the operations manager of the facility no less than 14 days prior to the event.

The university's insurance carrier can provide such insurance to facility users on request, through the Office of Community and Government Relations.
