Lincoln Park Politics, Yesterday and Today

The Fall of 2000 was a presidential election year. Appropriately, the program focused on "Lincoln Park Politics, Yesterday and Today" and was moderated by Elizabeth Brackett, WTTW Channel 11 News Chicago.

Elizabeth Brackett serves as a correspondent and substitute host for Chicago Tonight. Responsible for reporting, writing, on-air production and presentation, She gained critical acclaim for her work, winning a Peabody in 1988 for election coverage, and an Emmy in 1999 for hosting Chicago Tonight. She also won an Emmy in 1984 for her work on The MacNeil-Lehrer NewsHour (now The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer).

Since 1984, Elizabeth has also served as a correspondent for The MacNeil-Lehrer NewsHour where she has covered stories about the Midwest, with a special focus on politics and urban problems.
