1. Course/GPA Requirements:
Undergraduate Students:
- Completion of 3 Accounting, or 3 Finance or 3 MIS courses (i.e. 3
classes in your major)
- Overall GPA of at least 3.3
- Major GPA of at least 3.3
Graduate Students:
- Completion of three 500 or 600 Level accounting courses and
Overall GPA of at least 3.5 and Major GPA of at least 3.6, OR
- Completion of four 500 or 600 Level accounting courses and
Overall GPA of at least 3.25 and Major GPA of at least 3.5
2. Pledge Process:
All students that meet the above course/GPA
requirements may apply for membership in the Fall (September) or Spring
(March). The Pledge Process must be completed prior to the initiation banquet
in order for an applicant ("pledge") to be initiated with their
pledge class.
Spring 2011 Pledge Process
Submit (1) completed application, (2) proof of academic history and
(3) $100 membership fee ($55 not refunded if pledge drops out or does not
complete the process---Nationals requires $55 just for entering pledges into
the system).
All 3 items are due in our mailbox in the School of Accountancy, 6th floor
DPC by TBA
- Course History reports from Campus Connect are accepted for proof
of academic history
- Membership fee of $100(Check
or Money Order ONLY), which covers National dues and chapter
activities
(checks payable to: Beta Alpha Psi)
- Attend the following events:
(See Current Events page for descriptions, dates and downloadable
calendar)
- Professional Event – attend at least 3
- Volunteer Event – attend at least 1
- Social Event – attend at least 1
You MUST complete all 3 required events, one Social Event,
three Professional Events and one Volunteer Event, to be initiated
3. Annual Requirements:
- Attendance at three professional events each quarter
- Participation in one volunteer each quarter
- Participation in one social event each quarter
- Participation in big brother/big sister mentorship program
- Write an article for the Fall OR Spring DePaul Street Journal
(DSJ)
- $20 yearly chapter activity fee
