		EVENT DESCRIPTIONS
		Meet the Firms
			Beta Alpha Psi's "Meet the Firms" is an event held each Fall before the recruiting season. It gives accounting, finance, and MIS students the opportunity to meet a wide variety of public accounting and corporate recruiters in the professional, yet relaxed atmosphere of a downtown convention hotel.
		Volunteer Events Community service events allow members greater interaction with the city of Chicago. Service recognizes the importance of social responsibility in the urban business community, in addition to the legacy of DePaul's core Vincentian values. Examples include: the Tax Assistance Program to benefit low-income families, the annual university-sponsored Vincentian Student Service Day, and the WTTW Channel 11 annual pledge drive telethon. Social Events Socials provide members with the opportunity to interact as an organization at one of Chicago's many hot-spots. Past events have included the BAP Softball Tournament and trips to Bulls games.  These are times for everyone to get together and have FUN!
		Initiation Banquets
		SPRING (May) - New members are inducted into the chapter at the Spring Banquet. Scholarships are awarded to the most active members. These scholarships are generously sponsored by our corporate supporters. FALL (November) - The Fall Banquet is the second new-member initiation of the year. BAP proudly presents a keynote speaker - an individual who has influenced the accounting profession. Guests at both events include officers, members, initiates, faculty, BAP alumni and firm representatives.
