Electoral Niches: an ecological model of candidate competition in presidential nomination campaigns. 

Long-term plans include book-length projects on, 1) the history of presidential nominations, with a focus on factions within the political parties and the evolving ideological conflict among the American political parties, within the theoretical framework of competitive elitism as a theoretical approach to democracy; and 2) the implications of the liberal state and the need for litigation for norms of personal and societal responsibility.
