| Illinois Victory 2008 Illinois Victory is the coordinated campaign in Illinois, working on all of the Democratic Congressional campaigns. They are looking for at least 4 interns to work out of their Chicago headquarters. Duties for each internship vary and may include tasks in the areas of fundraising, data analysis, voter contact strategy, general office assistance, and canvassing. Hours required range from 6 to 15 hours per week.

| Student PIRGs’ New Voters Project Internships
Interns will be expected to work between 9 hours per week (3 hours of work a week for one credit hour) at their home campus running a voter registration drive and get out the vote campaign. All internships are unpaid. We encourage interested students to look into programs through their school, which may offer compensation and/or academic credit for public interest work.

Thinkinc. Internship Program
Thinkinc, a Chicago-based strategic public affairs consulting firm, is seeking college students interested in a 10 to 12 week internship program during fall semester with a minimum of 10 hours a week.
Thinkinc has a demanding, high-pressure, fast-paced environment that is geared for detail-oriented, well-spoken individuals with strong organizational and writing skills. Applicants must be energetic, timely, and creative. Looking for individuals working towards a degree in political science/marketing/media/writing, interested in public relations, account services, and/or creative. Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is desirable.
Interns will be responsible for managing and updating databases, editing and/or writing press releases and media alerts, attending client meetings and press events along with contacting the media and pitching reporters. Compensation for this internship will be school credit.
Thinkinc is a small company located in Wicker Park at 1530 North Paulina. Our offices are open from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday.

| Interfaith Housing Center of Northern Suburbs
Interfaith Housing Center of the Northern Suburbs is a grassroots organization founded in 1972 covering 16 north suburban communities. Interfaith is an advocacy group interested in fostering an open housing market for all regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or any of the other protected classes. In March 2008, Interfaith officially became a HUD certified counseling agency in predatory lending, loss mitigation, default resolution, and fair housing counseling.
We are currently seeking an intern to assist the director of housing counseling in updating and maintaining client information. The responsibilities of the intern will include: data entry, correspondence to mortgage companies and clients (i.e. fax, USPS), distribute literature where appropriate, and organize and file client information.
We are looking for a commitment of 10-15 hours per week for a minimum of 8 weeks. This is an unpaid intern position but can be used for credit towards an internship affiliated with an academic institution.
