Student Resources The Student Resources part of our Web site currently provides several documents. First, an Evaluation Rubric indicating our departmental criteria for assigning grades for a Philosophy 100 paper. This document may be consulted by students and faculty alike for guidance in assessing grades. Second, we provide three different sets of suggestions for writing a philosophy paper. The first, Paper.SG1, presents a concise, 2-page set of guidelines providing an overview of the basics. The second, Paper.SG2, provides a more detailed set of guidelines with more specific pointers on particular aspects of philosophical writing. The third, Paper.SG3, presents some suggestions on how to write a more research-oriented paper dealing with a particular theme.
