Standard Performance Agreement and Rider Click here to download the Standard Performance Agreement and Rider Members of the DePaul community frequently have the opportunity to see entertainers, such as musical groups and comedians, perform live on campus. If your department or organization is sponsoring such an event, it is necessary for you to ensure that there is a contract in place between DePaul and the performer(s) before they take to the stage. Entertainers, especially those that are well-known, often have agents or managers that negotiate contracts on their behalf. We recommend using this Standard Performance Agreement and Rider whenever an act is scheduled to perform on campus. It contains all of the terms necessary to protect the university from liability in such situations. In the event a performer insists on using a contract prepared by that performer’s agent or manager, please be sure to compare their language with our Standard Performance Agreement and Rider, and with DePaul’s Standard Contract Terms and Guidelines (see above). You will likely need to contact the agent or manager to negotiate terms that are more favorable to DePaul. For assistance or helpful tips on dealing with performers, agents, and managers, please contact us at contractreview@depaul.edu. Standard Vendor Agreement for Computer Hardware, Computer Software, or Miscellaneous ServicesClick here to download the Standard Vendor Agreement (for Information Technology) University departments and organizations are strongly encouraged to execute formal contracts with third-party vendors when purchasing computer hardware, licensing computer software, or contracting for related services. We have prepared this Standard Vendor Agreement as a starting point for your negotiations. If used in conjunction with DePaul’s Standard Contract Terms and Guidelines (see above), this Agreement can be tailored to your specific needs to provide significantly more protection for the University than a generic purchase order. Standard Activity Waiver Download the General Release Form for Local Events & for Non-Local Events University departments and organizations occasionally sponsor off-campus events that invite participants to engage in potentially dangerous activities. Please be aware that prior to sponsoring any such event, each participant must agree to sign a “General Release Form” that releases DePaul from liability for accidents and injuries that may occur as part of the event. We have prepared these two General Release for local or non-local events, which may be easily adapted to suit a wide range of needs. If you feel the event you are planning requires additional legal review, please send a brief description of the activities involved to contractreview@depaul.edu. If necessary, we will be happy to assist you with modifying this form or preparing additional documents.
