Brooke Bailey
(MAW '08) have been hired as the copy editor for Conscious
Choice, a magazine for which she also writes.
Aaron James Ottinger
will attend the 6th International Student Byron Conference,
May 18-24th in Messolonghi, Greece. This will be Aaron's
second time attending the conference, where he will present
his paper: "These Colors Do Not Run: Orientalism, Race,
and National Identity in Byron’s 'Don Juan.'"
Laura Scott Wade
(MAE '09) has had two papers accepted for the Midwest Conference
on Language, Literature and Media, to be held February 29-March
1 at NIU. Her papers are titled: "Catfight: Maggie's
Search for Sexuality and Self in Tennessee Williams' Cat
on a Hot Tin Roof" and "'I Am the Flesh that Always
Affirms': The Serpent and the Dove in Ulysses' 'Penelope'".
