Colby Cuppernull's research proposal, "Ernest Hemingway and the New Lost Generation: A Modern Understanding of the Early Works," was accepted at the Hawaii International Conference for the Arts and Humanities. He will be presenting somewhere between January 12 and 15th. His paper analyzes the themes of the "Lost Generation" in the early work of Ernest Hemingway and shows how these themes are just as relevant today, since recent technological advances have created a new Lost Generation.

Matthew Dal Santo presented his paper, "Wikis, Dissensus, and the Public Sphere: New Issues in Digital Collaboration," at the Great Plains Alliance for Computers and Writing Conference at Minnesota State University, Mankato on November 10th.

Emma Zone (MAE) and her husband, Andy, just had a baby boy. Henry Warren Zone was born on October 14th, 2006.
