DePaul University's department of political science seeks candidates for a tenured-track, assistant professor position to begin September 2008.

The department seeks a comparativist specializing in the politics of Western Europe (including the European Union and other multilateral institutions). Secondary training and competence in international relations is also required. Teaching assignments will include: introductory and upper-level courses in comparative politics, western Europe, and the EU; contributions to the University’s general education program; and the opportunity to teach in one or more of the University’s many interdisciplinary programs (e.g., International Studies, Women’s and Gender Studies, Islamic World Studies, Catholic Studies). The search committee is eager to review applications of individuals with demonstrated excellence in teaching. The Ph.D. is required by date of appointment.
