DePaul University's department of political science seeks candidates for a tenured-track, assistant professor position to begin September 2008.
The department seeks to hire someone whose expertise engages the intersection of politics and identity. Applications from persons grounded in political theory or empirical sub-disciplines are welcome. Especially of interest are candidates who study Latino politics and/or gender and politics. Teaching assignments will include introductory and upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of specialization; contributions to the University's general education program; and the opportunity to teach in one or more of the University’s many interdisciplinary programs. The search committee is eager to review applications of individuals with demonstrated excellence in teaching. The Ph.D. is required by date of appointment.
