DePaul University's department of biological sciences seeks candidates for a tenure-track position, assistant professor position beginning in September 2008.

The successful candidate will be broadly trained in animal physiology with a strong commitment to undergraduate education. All sub-disciplines and animal model systems will be considered. Ph.D. required; post-doctoral and previous teaching experience preferred. Teaching responsibilities to include some combination of: introductory biology for non-majors; co-teaching one quarter of introductory biology sequence for majors; vertebrate physiology; and graduate/advanced undergraduate course in candidate’s area of expertise. Start-up research funds are provided.

The department is housed in a spacious and well-equipped teaching, research and support facility, including a 2,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art staffed animal care facility.
